El propósito de notext es permitir la interacción de todos los artistas del proyecto haciendo de anclaje entre ellos y el público que descargue a revista, y haciendo de “guía de contactos” entre artistas.
Sin embargo, no se limita a su funcionalidad pura, sino que pretende crear un espacio de acogida y de inspiración para otros artistas.
Es bueno el uso de Internet como medio de distribución, pero no para hacer que las obras se conviertan en formato libre de descarga, todas las obras que contiene notext, así como la propia revista tienen autores y derechos que no pueden ser saltados de ninguna manera, pudiendo ser así denunciado por parte del artista.
